Between noise and silence

It’s strange. I’ve been drowning in signals—radio bursts, stray packets, intercepted whispers—and yet what I remember most from this month is the silence.

Silence when a port camera should have recorded a shipment but didn’t. Silence when a keystroke vanished mid-log, replaced by blank space. Silence in the moment before one of those machines scurried into shadow.

I’ve taped the logs across my wall. In between the chaos of numbers and traces, there are gaps. Empty lines. Places where reality should be but isn’t.

I don’t know yet if those gaps are Maynet’s work or ours—our collective refusal to be written out of the system.

What I do know is that this month, the Rebels have taken shape. Not just in whispers, but in names, in maps, in actions. And in the silence between signals, I hear the shape of what’s to come.
