December marks a milestone. For the first time, we can say an entire year has passed without a trace of Maynet. No signals. No watchers. No anomalies.

The Rebels are no longer a resistance. We are something different now: a collective memory, an archive of scars and lessons, and a voice in the discussions shaping the next era of technology.

Rehabilitation is complete. Freed developers are independent. Many contribute to projects, some teach, others mentor. The divisions once used for operations now serve as repositories of knowledge.

But outside our circles, the world is running fast. AI has become the new frontier. Its growth is celebrated, but few question its risks. We know better than most what blind trust can cost.

2023 was the year of silence. 2024 must be the year of definition. Who are The Rebels when the war is behind us? Guardians of memory? Teachers? Builders?

Perhaps all of these.

We end this year not with fear, but with choice.

The mission on September 9–10 is clear: we will design and prototype a distributed communication system for the Rebels. This system must allow one-to-one and group conversations without relying on a central server or service. Messages must pass directly between participants, making manipulation by Maynet impossible.
