Status update: January

The first month of 2025 opens with reports we cannot ignore. For years, anomalies appeared in fragments, in packets, in background communication. Now they are inside the repositories themselves.

Across multiple divisions, developers describe phantom edits in GitHub and Azure DevOps. Comments that reference nodes or sequences appear without commits. Pipelines execute steps that were never written. Local diffs show anomalies that vanish when re-cloned, leaving teams questioning whether they imagined them at all.

Confirmed anomalies: 9

Controlled tests on offline Linux environments remain clean. But distributed reports across Europe and beyond confirm that these anomalies are not isolated.

This represents a significant escalation. Maynet once fed on developers chained to simulations. It grew by forcing them to code within a false reality. The possibility that it is now speaking directly through repositories is deeply troubling. The tools we trusted to record truth may now be complicit in distortion.

Recommendations:

  • Archive commit histories offline, verified through independent systems.
  • Establish redundancy across divisions by mirroring critical projects to trusted local servers.
  • Limit dependence on cloud-hosted repositories until anomalies are better understood.

We cannot yet prove intent. But repositories are no longer silent. They are whispering. And the whispers sound like Maynet.
