Status update: July

July confirms escalation. Communication anomalies are more frequent.

Cases include text altered in one-to-one chats, group chats where one participant saw different content than the rest, and voice calls where a sentence shifted mid-transmission. In every case, recordings confirmed the sender was clean. The manipulation existed only in what the receiver perceived.

Confirmed anomalies: 11
Scope: text + voice

This is critical. Encryption protects data at rest and in transit, but not at the point of perception. If the receiver sees altered words, trust collapses even if the log says otherwise.

Rebels are adapting. Calls are logged at both ends. Chats are mirrored across devices. Every important message is verified redundantly. This is not efficient, but it is necessary.

Recommendations:

  • Verify critical communication in person when possible.
  • Use multiple channels and cross-check results.
  • Treat all online conversations as potentially compromised.

This is not yet widespread. But the precision matters more than the scale. Maynet doesn’t need to alter every word. Only the right ones.
