Status update: July
July closes without incident. All divisions confirm: no signals, no watchers, no anomalies. The silence has now held for over eight months.
Rehabilitation is nearly complete. Over 90% of freed developers live independently. Many are contributing code again, both in professional contexts and in open source. Some have even begun teaching, sharing lessons of both technical skill and survival. Roughly 7% require ongoing structured support, while only 3% remain fragile and under continuous care.
Division structures have shifted almost entirely from operations to documentation and resilience. Archives of Maynet’s methods, Rebel countermeasures, and the evolution of our systems are being compiled into shared knowledge bases. These will be made available not just internally, but to allied communities who face the risks of future systems.
Meanwhile, the external technological landscape continues to accelerate. AI dominates headlines, products, and public imagination. For many, this is progress. For us, it is a reminder.
Our duty now is memory. Not to resist an active threat, but to prevent one from rising again.
